Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her mother's willingness to do anything to win. Being a Carpenter kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
