Synthrin's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Synthrin and her spouse have recently divorced.

When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.
