History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Tailor arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. In his 17th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Balimaar embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He is used to getting what he wants. In part because he is a meticulous planner.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. Through the years after Mary was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Mary's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Mary and her spouse have recently divorced.
