Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage daughter.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. As a very small child his family refused to pay dues to a local crime lord, who ordered them killed. His mother, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect him and cast a teleportation spell that whisked him away. Being a Carpenter kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Personality: He acts crazy and hedonistic. Only to laugh say gotcha and shoot double pistol fingers at the fooled target.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Ruler work with an outfit from a few towns over. Ruler work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has worked as a Ruler like his mother before him.

History: Avice was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. Before the accident, she was one of the most outspoken anti-Halfling activists. She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Halfling doctor. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Halfling people; and halfling compassion

Description: Relatively heavier built than your average man, he is not imposing. He wears dull black sweaters, loose grey pants, and alligator leather shoes. Beneath his sweater he keeps a concealed hand crossbow, just in case. His red crest is smooth and relatively long. His eyes are likewise gold. His teeth are yellowed and unaligned.

Personality: He loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. The war was a terrible time for him, and Kiirith does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: When he was but 3 years old his parents immigrated from the east. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he wants to meet his childhood hero

History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her mother. She always admired psionic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. Since then, she has sought to make the best of life.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. A freak accident while working with his Courier mother left him crippled. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation she is generally quite perceptive. She notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. She has a cruel streak; something she gained from her previous mentor. She harbors resentment against her former mentor.

History: A powerful wizard made her what she is. Through the years after Skirt was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Skirt's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Skirt fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: She's repulsed by the PC; and to get a good night's sleep

Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. He is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. He likes to tell stories.

History: His martial talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He is terrified, and will act out of fear; and wants to work out more often

Description: A woman with thick toned arms and a paunchy gut. She is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers her face most of the time. Her dark red hair is smooth and relatively long. She is baby faced.

Personality: She barks her statements quickly and with little fuss. She prefers small words and is at her heart utilitarian. Her brief stint in the army gave her the idea she was invincible and that she is the toughest woman alive.

History: She was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. While she appears to be a normal Tiefling, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often.
