Personality: She dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the east. She is afraid of women and trembles around them
History: Her mother raised her in a mountain cabin. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the mountains to a summer home near a old dungeon. She would wander through that old dungeon and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the mountains due to the painful memories there. Merla took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up shield and armor she uses now. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Cartwright for the past few years.
Motivation: She will attempt to ambush and attack anyone she thinks she can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, she will try to sell them to her slave-trader contact; and further expansion of business

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. Cursed with unlife at a very young age, Xanaphia has worked very hard to control her curse. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. After months of barely getting by, Mumpena managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, she made her way to the capital under a new identity.
