History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Anverth alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has been helping groups of widows and orphans who have fled abusive spouses or lost their families to giants.

History: Rurik hails from a village terrorized by brigands. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Jeweler they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Engraver, and he later adopted a second daughter.
