History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the west. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, orcs burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the west, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying west to reunite his family. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Marbas fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Gnomes in the north were limited. She's also a talented Sculptor, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Knight they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Map Maker, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Map Maker and was forced into it by his family; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

She will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. She cares deeply for her spouse and does her best to make sure her guests look presentable.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Sariel grew up listening to her mother's many stories. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. His parents were killed by drow in a raid when he was still a young child. The drow captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He guards a vault combo very seriously as well as the key needed to open it.
