He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

When Katherine reached her early adolescence her Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.
