History: Ovak hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the forest to a summer home near a ruined castle. She would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the forest due to the painful memories there. Ovak took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up scythe and armor she uses now. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born in the west her family was never financially stable. She found a children's book about a Human Monk who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Iados fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
