History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Pennie was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

Personality: She is extraordinarily eccentric. Her temper goes off on the smallest of things. She tends to lash out at those around her.
History: She was raised in a desert tribe. Through the years after Nora was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Nora's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.
History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

History: Therlin was raised in a hard working conservative environment. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Armorer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.

Personality: He is business-like. He takes instructions and follows them to the letter. He disdains his fellow westerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.
History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Tiefling activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Tiefling doctor. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.
