History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. In her 17th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her father impaled in their home, and her mother beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

History: He comes from a rich western family. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: Xanaphia is a sociable creature first and foremost. She loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. She can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Xanaphia is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: Born in the west to a Performer, Xanaphia learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He now mingles about in high society.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Through the years after Pijjirik was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Pijjirik's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has never given up on his poetry dream.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Ostracized due to the martial powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Half-Orcs became a terror of the countryside. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Personality: She cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with her opinion, she thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, she can get violently argumentative. She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. Her parents were killed by illithids in a raid when she was still a young child. The illithids captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
