Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: She will attempt to ambush and attack anyone she thinks she can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, she will try to sell them to her slave-trader contact; and she possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

Through the years after Shanairla was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north.
