He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was forced to fight in gladiatorial arenas alongside his partner. They became the best of friends and one day they managed to break out together and then went their separate ways.

His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing music.

History: Rael was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Monk, to bring honor to his family’s name. History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. A freak accident while working with her Cartwright mother left her crippled. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.
