He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Zepar and his spouse have recently divorced.

When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Soapmaker hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.
