Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. Balam is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Balam was born on a far southern forest where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Engraver. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Balam fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: He got into the Apothecary business at a young age. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Apothecary work with an outfit from a few towns over. Apothecary work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the illithids.

History: She was born in a small plains village. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. She quickly showed her capability and was soon promoted to a head role. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Herbalist for the past few years.

Motivation: Meet up once more with her childhood friend; and many goblins want her driven away

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. More though he will beg to come along on any journeys. He will attempt to stowaway on any ship he can in the hopes that it will get him further away.

History: He was born into a rich family. Ostracized due to the necromantic powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Elves became a terror of the countryside. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He is greedy; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out

History: Born in the east to a Detective, Silaqui learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. A gifted student she started as a Marshal, but she got bored and became a Detective. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Detective for the past few years.
