History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Gerbo grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Gerbo. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. A gifted student she started as a Sellsword, but she got bored and became a Mercenary. She's also a talented Sellsword, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: Tod lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.
