When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has never given up on her singing dream.

Description: An older woman who is perpetually draped in fineries, but all of this concealed by her earthly robes., she is not a threatening figure. Her blonde hair is cut short with large spiked bangs in the front. Her face possesses mild wrinkles. Her smile is extraordinarily sincere though she does not smile often.

Personality: Volen wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Barbarian, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... She is fiercely devoted to her father, and views her father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-sister.

History: Born to a Blacksmith, her father struggled to pay the bills. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Volen fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
