History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. A freak accident while working with her Locksmith father left her crippled. She now mingles about in high society.

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk she knows how to make people feel guilty. Birel is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her brothers into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. The family's rival house kidnapped her sister with the intent that her sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the west were limited. He has since lost track of the people in his past.
