History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Richard grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Richard. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. Some 9 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Zephan never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.
