His mother taught him the rudiments of the Navigator arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Through the years after Pelaios was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Pelaios's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He now mingles about in high society.

History: Bardryn was born with her father's beautiful face. Her father worked until she suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. She had to support her now crippled father and took her father's old job. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
