History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. During his travels, Taklinn and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Taklinn discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Taklinn fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

History: When she was but 3 years old her parents immigrated from the north. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Since then, she has sought to make the best of life.
