Personality: Prone to second guessing himself, he comes off as nervous. He is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Spice Merchant work with an outfit from a few towns over. Spice Merchant work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Bernard and his spouse have recently divorced.
