It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: She hates Elves with a passion. As such she is filled with self loathing. She will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. She cares deeply for her spouse and does her best to make sure her guests look presentable.

History: The child of a Bookbinder, who enjoyed hunting, Bethrynna was taken on many hunting expeditions. Her mother took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of illithids may trigger it at times.

History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the west. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Half-Elves in the west were limited. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 8 years.

Personality: She is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help her friends. She considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. She is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. Since then, she has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions.

History: She was born in a small mountains village. A freak accident while working with her Beggar father left her crippled. She was granted divine powers by her dying sister.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Dragonborn artifacts is her passion; and wants to work out more often

Description: A well shaped woman just over fifty, she wears a shirt that is too small, which lets her gut show, with a ratty green coat over it. Her green crest is lengthy and is close to two feet long. She wears an eyepatch.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, she has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. She loves teas. She is very sensitive about her face. To blow off anger she lifts weights and to control her otherwise explosive temper she works out a lot.

History: Born in the south her family was never financially stable. Jaxi abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Jaxi fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: To reunite with her old friends; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever
