History: She was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. She worked as a nervous Soapmaker and found it very stressful. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Miner arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Her homeland was ravaged by war and she spent much of her life rebuilding it. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: Gilkass wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Aristocrat, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... She lacks restraint and is impulsive. She jumps in and acts without thinking all too often.

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Carter. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. He has a small toy that he constantly fidgets with.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He became a Carter soon after.

Motivation: Further expansion of business; and expand his business

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. He is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of him. He is by nature obliging.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Gnomes in the south were limited. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and he wants revenge against brigands

Personality: She is a Farmer first and foremost. She believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. Any perceived weakness will be pressed and exploited. She is seen as merciless and passionate.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Her first spouse was a Shepherd, they had one son, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: A rival would like her out of the picture; and to reunite with her absent father
