History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Akmen was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered music. She has never given up on her music dream.

Personality: He is filled with cunning. He likes to feign weakness letting people think he is weak. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Fibblestib is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He got into the Bookbinder business at a young age. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He struck the Bookbinder job and began his own company from there.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out.

Personality: She has a good heart but also a terrible temper. She will forgive often but not before yelling and berating someone for whatever they have done wrong. She disdains her fellow westerners, claiming they make her look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. After a long history of fighting, Nedda and her spouse have recently divorced.
