History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. He works hard and plays hard.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. A freak accident while working with her Navigator mother left her crippled. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Motivation: To prove her worth to the world; and to find somewhere to settle down

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Her childhood dream was to be a Knight, but she was a colossal failure. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

Personality: William is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life; and his religion dominates his actions

History: She comes from a rich northern family. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the north were limited. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: She loathes her own lifestyle; and she feels kind of lost in life

Description: A man with a cold, calculating air about him, he wears an entirely red suit with white socks and a vest with buckled shoes. He wears a feathered hat to cover his moderate length red hair. His face is scarred and worn.

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Ulblyn was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Many gnolls want him driven away.
