When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She now owns her own business.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He worked as a nervous Fletcher and found it very stressful. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

In her 13th year, her parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Gillyd alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

In her 15th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her father impaled in their home, and her mother beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
