History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Grom was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with painting. He constantly tries to fill his life with painting. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage daughter.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.
