Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Astar was born with his mother's beautiful face. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the east. He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the east. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day; and a rival would like him out of the picture

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Beast was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She always admired martial-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: He is extraordinarily passive and rarely speaks, let alone speaks his mind. He is a bit of a macho man and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Barber responsibilities is difficult; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Sapply fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
