Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Dyer born in the past three hundred years. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: Hirrathak was born with his father's beautiful face. A gifted student he started as a Cook, but he got bored and became a Dyer. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Dyer.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and balancing his hectic life and new dyer responsibilities is difficult

Her partner is her best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. She has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: Joan hails from a village terrorized by brigands. A freak accident while working with her Tailor father left her crippled. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by brigands. Joan was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the brigands.

Personality: She fancies herself a trickster and likes to rely on her wits to carry the day. She cares for her older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. She will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. She cares deeply for her spouse and does her best to make sure her guests look presentable.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. At a young age she wooed the heart of her future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. Some 9 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Valanthe never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her son whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister; and wants to have a good time and be beloved
