To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Shadow alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He goes out his way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one he won't accept into his heart. As long as the job gets done he does not care how it got done.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. A gifted student he started as a Navigator, but he got bored and became a Baker. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Baker and was forced into it by his family; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage
