Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Varis embodies much of what other species detest in the Half-Elves. The war was a terrible time for him, and Varis does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Varis was born with his father's beautiful face. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He worked as a nervous Map Maker and found it very stressful. He has worked as a Map Maker like his mother before him.

History: Grigi was born with her father's beautiful face. She took after her father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, her father taught her to defend herself. When her father died while fighting giants, the young Grigi began to lead the lost caravan. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Meet up once more with her childhood friend; and several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge

History: Born in the east her family was never financially stable. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Mary grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Mary. As of late she has set up a hidden staging nest where she ambushes people she hires for escort.
