Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by gnolls. Surina was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She now owns her own business.

When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Bowyer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
