History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Valorean was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

She is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. She haggles over everything, upselling her goods and buying cheap. She is persistent in everything.

History: When she was but 6 years old her parents immigrated from the south. Her arcane abilities were realized during a raid on her village. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: She is terrified, and will act out of fear; and retire the richest woman in the south

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his mother.

History: Hûmgrat was born in the east. At a young age he loved to build and create. Cursed with lycanthropy at a very young age, Hûmgrat has worked very hard to control his curse. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the south were limited. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.
