History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. A gifted student he started as a Map Maker, but he got bored and became a Interpreter. He tends to his Interpreter job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Interpreter. He's also a talented Bookbinder, but doesn't like to broadcast it.
