History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

After coming to the age of reason, Gardain took it upon himself to study the martial arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. Her brief stint in the army gave her the idea she was invincible and that she is the toughest woman alive.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.
