Through the years after Grisha was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Grisha's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He became a Shoemaker soon after.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.
