Personality: She is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. She is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.
History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and retire the richest woman in the south

Description: This malnourished woman tends to wear a tan poncho over her likewise colored trousers and shirt. Her blonde hair is still thick. Her face is covered beneath a completely black helmet.
Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Pyntle embodies much of what other species detest in the Gnomes. She is fiercely devoted to her father, and views her father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-sister.
History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.
Motivation: Her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and marry her sister to traveling adventurers

Personality: She is a Server first and foremost. She believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. She is stubborn though. She always likes to keep a trick up her sleeve. She likes to fight dirty and will kick and punch below the belt if she feels she even has a chance of losing.
History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
Motivation: She has comitted a past crime that haunts her to this day; and an old rival family wants her found

Personality: He is envious of other's things. He hoards treasure, art, food, wine, and anything that he so desires. He loves being with his children and actually smiles when they are around. He would do anything for them. He dislikes his ex a great deal.
History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. A freak accident while working with his Apothecary father left him crippled. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Apothecary they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Sailor, and he later adopted a second son.
Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Sailor and was forced into it by his family.
