History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when drow swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was raised in a desert tribe. Gerard liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Gerard fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Her father taught her the rudiments of the Carter arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She inherited a moderately successful company from her father. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
