History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Through the years after Gurdis was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Gurdis's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. In the meantime she has taken over work as a Merchant and occasionally as a mercenary.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg

Personality: She is a Layabout first and foremost. She believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. She has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a woman enough she will sell her own mother. Money is her most trusted friend.

History: She is a Doppelganger in disguise. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Layabout work with an outfit from a few towns over. Layabout work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Cartwright. He became a Cartwright soon after.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world.

Description: She is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers her face most of the time. She is physically well-built. Her tied-back hair is golden. She was beautiful and young once, which still shows through her age, but it is a faded beauty.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic woman, Nalaed's first love is herself. Her second love is also herself. She is underhanded and not above using her wealth and body to get others to do her bidding.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. During her travels, Nalaed and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Nalaed discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Nalaed fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.

Personality: She is a melancholic, but persistent worker. She resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. She loves teas. She is very sensitive about her face. To blow off anger she lifts weights and to control her otherwise explosive temper she works out a lot.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Andraste fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down.

Description: This late middle aged woman wears a large hat to cast shadows over her face and wears ponchos to better hide her body and is in decent physical shape. Her crest, while still mostly scarlet, has prominent grey streaks. Her fair skin shows little sign of her aristocratic breeding.

Personality: She likes to fabricate stories about her past exploits and how crazy she is, but in actuality she is rather bland. She will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Knight arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. She leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever she goes.

Motivation: She uses money and sex appeal to get what she needs; and she is content
