Personality: She loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. A true patriot, Merla would do anything for her country. She is fiercely protective of her fellow citizens and foreign allies.
History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Merla grew up listening to her mother's many stories. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Dwarven companion (her 'brother'). She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

Description: An older man who is dressed in an above average manner, he is not a threatening figure. His purple hair is smooth and relatively long. His white eyes peer out from beneath his deerstalker green hat.
Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He is obsessed with his god.
History: Mordai was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Commoner, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Commoner in service of a powerful lord somewhere. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.
Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and he wants to meet his childhood hero

Personality: She is a melancholic, but persistent worker. She resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. She dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. Her biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.
History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Zykroff grew up listening to her father's many stories. Zykroff abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She was granted psionic powers by her dying sister.
Motivation: Retire the richest woman in the north; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Description: He is of a modest build and height, but he carries himself more imposing than he is. He wears a well pressed and immaculate suit (or dress). His tied-back hair is auburn. He has a tattooed face.
Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.
History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Darrow liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He is a bit of a macho man and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.
History: Burgell was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Bard, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Bard in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Burgell fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and he desires power and/or immortality
