A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. By chance she met her sister recently and the two have been together since.

He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
