History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. In her 17th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Tabaxi companion (his 'brother'). He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: She is extraordinarily passive and rarely speaks, let alone speaks her mind. She passes on several rewards to people in need. She makes a point to leave places better than she found them.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and to end her boredom

History: Alice hails from a village terrorized by brigands. She worked as a nervous Mercenary and found it very stressful. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Mercenary for hire.
