Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of him. He is by nature obliging.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Ahvain alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

His father taught him the rudiments of the Bookbinder arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Bookbinder for hire.
