History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Through the years after Kathra was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Kathra's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

History: He was born at the edge of vast desert. Akmen was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Akmen decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with.
