History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Trail grew up listening to her father's many stories. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Trail grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Trail. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. In her 14th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her father impaled in their home, and her mother beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.
