History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Painter. She struck the Painter job and began her own company from there.

Personality: Emerald wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Adept, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... She refers to her adoptive mother for almost all things she is unsure about, which are numerous. She is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Gifted from a young age, Emerald studied abroad. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She was granted necromantic powers by her dying brother.
