History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Raer was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Layabout they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Gardener, and he later adopted a second daughter.

He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He uses his nature as a weapon; he likes to lead opponents to think him in distress.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. After a long history of fighting, Brug and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Bookbinder hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Bookbinder for the past few years.

History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the north. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: She's a bit of a prankster. She knows she is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Markosian is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability.
