When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Helja was born on a far eastern plains where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Mortician. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Half-Elven people; and half-elven compassion

Through the years after Irann was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Ranala decided she wanted neither the life of her father nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.
