Dain's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Traki is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He comes from a rich western family. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. Some 7 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Oppleby never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.
